Mission planning is an option available in missions that are episodic. It lets players unlock different starting locations, smuggled objects, and gear slots prior to stepping into the map. The options for planning increase as players progress through challenges and unlock higher Mission Mastery levels. This lets players prepare the perfect task for each challenge.
Gear Slot
Early on in the game players will notice that their gear slots quickly get full, resulting in the frequently-repeated "Your Gear Slots are full" message, which blocks Max from picking new equipment until the old ones are cleared or more space is obtained. Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials are the answer to this issue. They give players more inventory space for completing challenges. Since many of these challenges can be not completed and are scattered across the world, it may take a while to reach the maximum number slots for inventory in the game.
Each player can have up to five different types of gear in their five Gear high roller slots. They must be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to the break-in. Each individual gear item (except the Pistol) occupies one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like Grenades that are of the same type) only has one Gear Slot.
Agents can pick up the passengers.
As you advance through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock different agency pickups on the map. These locations let you keep items that do not fit in your concealed weapon or gear slots, and retrieve them later.
These pickups are particularly useful if you need to go through a frisk at the end of the game or if you're carrying a weapon that would otherwise trigger suspicion. But, you are only able to conceal one item per game at a pickup location for agencies.
This DLC also includes new asset protection and security contracts to the agency. Talk to the receptionist at the agency and stock up on snacks and other items. Then, go to the designated marker and identify a mob upon arrival.
