Ja Architecture Studio is a Canadian practice based in Toronto and lead by a Iranian-Canadian duo, an architect and a landscape designe, that combines the rootedness of a local architecture firm with the broad interests of an international design studio. Since establishing the firm in 1991 as Daly Genik Architects and now as Kevin Daly Architects, Kevin Daly has guided a design process that upholds the practical magic of architecture - an alchemy of craft, materials, and form. From the foundation established in 1953 by Silicon Valley architecture pioneer Goodwin Steinberg, FAIA and in 1967 by New York design trailblazer Malcolm Holzman FAIA at Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates, and now under the leadership of David Hart, Steinberg Hart has built a progressive portfolio of award-winning projects spanning multiple continents and diverse sectors. Our work mediates between multiple scales and is both detail and conceptually driven. But, most importantly, our work is high-quality.

Acclaimed projects include the Everyman Theatre, winner of the RIBA Stirling Prize in 2014, Young Vic Theatre, Royal College of Art campus in Battersea, Coin Street housing development and the London Library, for which they received the prestigious American Institute of Architect’s Excellence in Design award. A notable, contemporary example is the Bullitt Center by American architect Robert Hull, whose design was regarded as the world’s first greenest commercial building.
By experimenting with light, wind and water, as well as using natural and local materials, VTN Architects uses contemporary design vocabulary to explore new ways to create architecture. Our style is very traditional and colonial, which led us to have some initial concern about whether or not we would fit well into their portfolio, as much of their marketing materials are for modern designs. We always look towards nature and are interested in the affection of the design on environment improvement as well as the human’s awareness. We are members of the Cascadia Green Building Council and we are LEED certified. We focused about simplicity, modernity and sustainable green architecture. We believe in the inseparable connection between architecture and our environment, turning our work into an immersive experiential journey. We always feel pleased when our clients approve of our work. Have our plans and systems provided clarity and peace of mind for our clients? We have worked on residential, industrial, institutional, corporate and commercial projects. Since 1999, Floisand studio arkitekture principals, Richard Floisand and Allison Hogue, have worked with clients to build a diverse body of residential, commercial and municipal projects. The first time someone decided to mix sweet and salty popcorn, their guests must have been horrified.
